Weather: 73% Humidity. Partly cloudy & decent visibility, 14(F), Felt like sub-zero temps at the summit with the steady winds. Was sheltered from wind for most of the hike!
Ground Conditions: Only a thin layer of new snow on the ground today, looked like I was the first up Hi-Cannon today. Outside of the dusting, it was a frozen monorail to the summit for the most part. Nearing the summit as the trail levels out, the trail looked uneven and messier with lots of frozen deep non-snowshoed foot prints. Other than that small section the trail was in great shape and easily navigated with light traction!
Notes: Only two cars in the lot today, not many folks out on the trail either. I passed two people that appeared to have turned around partway up Hi-Cannon and other than that no one was out.
