Peak(s): Bondcliff, Bond, West Bond
Trails: LWT, Bondcliff
Mileage: 22.4
Elevation Gain: 4,760′
Weather: 38(F) at the start, 88% humidity, a little breeze with varying temps on the summits. By the time we hit the summits, the temps were in the 40’s possibly even 50’s. Good visibility.
Ground Conditions: Mixed ground conditions. Encountered ice, packed snow, soft mashed potato style snow, puddles, crumbling snow, post holes, slush, mud.
Notes: Great day out there. Used light traction in the morning on the way in and partway up the Bondcliff trail. Partway up, we swapped for snowshoes and left them on until the summit of Bondcliff. Then we bare booted over partway up Bond where we popped them back on until West Bond and back. It was simple enough with only a few traction on/off’s. Definitely felt like spring out there, but there looks to be a good amount of snow left out on the trails. There are trail photos below which are all geo-tagged on the strava linked. Left the point and shoot on the charger so all of the photos are cellphone pics.

Hey Katie!
Mixed conditions.
I had a feeling this snow would not hold. When we came back, Katie just walked through the stream and I had a laugh scooting over the sketchy sticks.
