Mt. Garfield and Galehead

Date: October 8, 2021
Peak(s): Garfield, Galehead
Trails: Gale River Trail, Frost Trail, Garfield Ridge Trail, Mt. Garfield Trail, Road walk
Mileage: 14.69
Elevation Gain: 4,322′
Weather: 46(F), 88% humidity, breezy at the summit, but with the sun there were warm temps at the summit. Could see most of the loop and over to the presies as well as ME/VT
Ground Conditions: Some muddy sections, slippery leaves at points, but overall straight forward day.
Notes: Good day to get out and peep some foliage! Saw a few other hikers out there enjoying the beautiful fall weather. We checked out the Garfield ridge camp and really lounged around on the summit of Garfield since it was so sunny. Thought about the first time Katie & I did this loop back in 2016 as well as the first time I had summited Galehead by accident with Justin also in 2016.
