Moosilauke |1.20.2021

Peak: Moosilauke
Trails: Ravine Road, Gorge Brook
Mileage: 10.13
Elevation Gain: 2,857′
Weather: 22(F), 75% humidity, mainly cloudy, snow showers, felt like single digits near the summit. Low visibility & windy at the summit.
Ground Conditions: Overall the trail was in great shape. In terms of traction, depending on comfort level, I think one could reasonably climb up Gorge brook with either light traction or snowshoes. I passed another hiker without any traction and possibly had limited winter gear. They opted not to summit.
Lost & Found: Found one stabil-icer or whatever it is called hanging from a branch at about 3,800′ a little ways past the last sure water sign.
Notes: Straightforward trip out to tag Moosilauke.

Low vis view at the summit of the Moose! I stopped at about 4.5 miles to properly suit up for the summit (Goggles, jacket, etc). Without goggles I probably would have turned around. Even with them, I could see how easily one could lose their way or become disoriented in a storm above tree line.
one of the only views I got on the way up!
Plenty of snow coming down, almost enough to make my earlier tracks hard to see.
What a bridge!
